The NCCR TransCure is an interdisciplinary research network of 20 research groups affiliated at Universities in Bern, Zurich, Lausanne and Basel. All of them share the same vision:

"To apply excellence in membrane transporter research to the treatment of human diseases".

The National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) TransCure is one of the current 27 NCCRs funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). NCCRs are setting out to promote research projects in areas of vital strategic importance that benefit Swiss economy, society and public health.

The leading house is the University of Bern with Matthias A. Hediger (Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine) as the director and Jean-Louis Reymond (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry) as the deputy director.
