The aim of his research is to design new multifunctional small molecules and investigate their synthesis as well as their chemical properties. Together with the Volterra Group he develops new fluorescent small molecules targeting the modulation of the vesicular glutamate and monoamine transporters, VGLUT1-3 and VMAT2, in the brain.
