He is currently working on the molecular structure of a human cholesterol transporter, which export the substrate from the cell to lipoproteins in the bloodstream. This transporter plays an important role to prevent accumulation of cholesterols in extrahepatic cells including macrophages and increase the level of high-density lipoproteins as known as 'good cholesterol'.
